The ability to: pay attention, follow specific steps and rules, and make fast and appropriate decisions declines overtime in people with Alzheimer’s or other dementia disorders. This means, at one point, driving will no longer be a safe option. If you are a caregiver for someone with dementia, work with the patient's doctor to start a conversation about driving and when to stop.
